The Maine Guide Boot from Yuketen draws inspiration from the early wilderness guides of Maine & the rugged, long-lasting boots they wore. Each boot is carefully made in Yuketen’s bespoke moccasin factory in Maine using traditional vegetable leather tanning and moccasin construction methods that create shoes and boots which cradle the bottom of the foot like leather socks. The upper is made using the full-grain side of Horween flesh-out leather for a suede-like feel but is much stronger and made for the long haul. The sole is Vibram’s soft “Christy” working outsole designed for maximum impact absorption on concrete or asphalt surfaces.
