The Levi's Vintage Clothing 1947 501 jean is a faithful reproduction of Levi's first post-WWII jeans. In 1947, when raw materials became available again, Levi's took the opportunity to bring back the coveted 501 design with modernized detailing like a slimmer leg and now iconic double-needle stitched back pockets. Made from non-stretch red line selvedge denim from the now-shuttered Cone Mills, the same denim they were made out of nearly 75 years ago. Heavily washed with a lighter fade through the knees and thigh, just like a pair of vintage denim would wear. Features a time-tested straight fit, signature button fly with branded Levi's Red Tab shanks and a distressed leather back tab.
