Sales Manager - STAG Nashville

The Sales Manager is responsible for the sales leadership & productivity of the organization. This includes the analysis, development, & execution of plans to achieve all sales goals; the identification, selection, training, development, & motivation of a high performing sales team; building the culture of service & product knowledge in the organization; and, in partnership with the General Manager & management team, ensuring the healthy & profitable operation of the shop.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT

  • Identifies staffing needs, recruits, interviews & hires all sales personnel
  • Trains, coaches, develops, & motivates staff on the STAG brand and all sales & operational expectations
  • Sets annual & quarterly goals and provides feedback to staff, both formally & informally, to improve individual performance & increase store success
  • Provides ongoing sales & product training to team to meet & achieve all sales goals
  • Develops tools & processes to improve sales results
  • Works with the Operations Manager to create monthly schedules to maximize sales & productivity

SALES GENERATION AND SUPERVISION

  • Acts as a sales leader in the store and contributes to the successful achievement of all sales goals
  • Coaches & motivates staff to create and maintain a friendly & approachable sales environment to meet & exceed sales goals
  • Responsible for the prioritization of all tasks, both selling & non-selling
  • Responsible for the maintenance & expansion of the customer database, regularly communicating with customers to drive sales & increase loyalty
  • Manages communication with customers, both written & verbal, to resolve service or product issues and maintain their loyalty 

STORE OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE

  • Responsible for the daily opening and closing duties, including cash handling, banking, cleaning, maintenance, & office organization

 MERCHANDISE HANDLING

  • Maintains a high level of store standards including sizing, folding, & cleanliness throughout the store
  • Responsible for organization of all back-stocked inventory and for restocking the sales floor on daily basis or as business requires
  • Responsible for processing, ticketing & placement of all merchandise arrivals
  • Responsible for maintaining an up-to-date physical inventory within store systems. This includes coordination with the Operations Manager to conduct annual & semi-annual inventory counts and reconciliation process

 COMMUNICATION

  • Openly communicates with fellow managers & General Manager on all store matters, including staff needs, sales goals & results, customer feedback, & improvement opportunities
  • Provides forum for staff feedback and encourages two-way dialogue
  • Supports an inclusive, team-focused environment amongst staff & management
  • Monitors customer feedback both in-store & on-line, and develops responses & action plans as needed

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $45,000 - $48,000 per year
