This Chinese floral vase pendant is cast brass, in-filled with enamel. The centuries-old Cloisonne technique involves soldering shapes to the exterior of the piece, filling in with enamel paste, and firing in a kiln to finish. First invented by the Egyptians, Cloisonne reached Chine in the 13th & 14th centuries & remains a popular art form today.
