A true American Icon, the Stratoliner Hemp Fedora from Stetson comes with one hell of a backstory. In 1938, the Boeing Model 307 Stratoliner entered the skies as the world’s first and only aircraft with a fully pressurized fuselage, allowing commercial passengers to travel in luxury well above 20,000 feet. The spacious, premium passenger jets had air-conditioning, heating, reclining seats, sleeping berths, you name it. Howard Hughes even bought one of his own and dubbed it “The Flying Penthouse”. 

Stetson launched the Stratoliner as a travel-friendly gentleman’s hat with a wider brim and a shorter crown that made it a practical choice for the jet setters of the time. A modern take on an all-time classic, this fedora is made from firm finish hemp and underscored with details like a grosgrain hat band, special edition Stratoliner hat pin and an interior sheepskin headband for a comfortable finish. Ready for the range, road, or the big city, this is a hat for the ones who are always on the move.
